Readers

There are usually three readers per tape. The readers' job is to read the news items previously selected by the editor onto tape. We have over 30 readers which means that there is a variety of voices on the tape, not just the same few.

Each reader has their own style of reading. So as you can see there is quite a difference in both sound and content each week.

We like to have both men and women reading each week to give a contrast in voices for the listener.

The editor and readers sit round a specially made table that is raised with microphones on the top.

This job is done on either a Wednesday morning or evening, (depending on the rota).

0 = Home Page. 1 = Editors. 2 = Readers. 3 = Recorders.
4 = Copiers. 5 = Despatch. 6 = Demag. 7 = Magazine.
8 = Audio Books. 9 = Contact. A = Links. B = Other Tn's.
