Editors

The editor's job is to select the items of news from the week’s local newspapers. He or she then sorts them out for the readers and themselves to read onto tape.

Each editor has their own style, which means the tape content is never the quite the same from week to week. We have a chief editor, whose job is to make up the editors’ rota, and also to listen to each week’s tape. This is like a quality control system. In this way any major problems with the tape can be picked up. This allows us to be sure we are doing the best we can for our listeners.

Editing is done from the Wednesday preceding the recording up to the Tuesday evening and the recording is made on the Wednesday morning or evening, (depending on the rota).

0 = Home Page. 1 = Editors. 2 = Readers. 3 = Recorders.
4 = Copiers. 5 = Despatch. 6 = Demag. 7 = Magazine.
8 = Audio Books. 9 = Contact. A = Links. B = Other Tn's.
